No Priors

Sarah Guo and Elad Gil’s AI podcast connects technical developments with business, startup and societal questions.

No Priors is an AI podcast started by Sarah Guo and Elad Gil. Its interview format brings engineers, researchers and founders into discussions about technical advances, their business implications and what comes next. Published as No Priors: Artificial Intelligence | Technology | Startups, the show also includes conversations between the two hosts.[2][4]

Origins and launch in 2023

The show’s origins precede its February 2023 trailer. On January 28, 2023, Latent.Space and Alessio Fanelli included Elad Gil and Sarah Guo’s upcoming No Priors in their survey of AI podcasts. The trailer published on February 2 announced interviews spanning the AI stack: “We'll talk about the technical state of the art, how that impacts business, and get them to predict what's next.”[1][2]

Both hosts brought startup investment experience. Guo founded Conviction after nearly a decade at Greylock Partners; Gil co-founded Color Health and Mixer Labs and wrote the High Growth Handbook. Apple Podcasts credits Conviction as the show’s creator, and the trailer’s production metadata also names Conviction.[4][2]

Research, infrastructure and business coverage

The 2026 catalog illustrates the range of the show’s AI coverage. A June 26 interview with OpenAI research scientist Noam Brown addressed test-time compute, benchmarks, safety and research. A September 3 interview with Arm CEO Rene Haas explored chip architecture and AI compute demands. Alongside guest interviews, an August 6 Sarah and Elad discussion covered founder ambition, token budgets and startup dynamics. These are subjects of the podcast’s coverage rather than research developed by No Priors.[4]

Microsoft Build crossover

In 2026, No Priors collaborated with Latent Space on a live interview with Microsoft chairman and CEO Satya Nadella at Microsoft Build. Guo, Gil and Latent Space host swyx participated. The conversation covered MAI model training strategy, enterprise AI harnesses and SaaS business models. Latent Space published its version on June 3; the No Priors catalog dates its version, We Need An Ecosystem in AI, And Every Company Can Win A Place In It, to June 4.[3][4]
