1. They say their model is a unique value prop. which is no more as the premium options are all the industry leading frontier models. so, given this, already competitors are also offering the same or similar premium models. so, in 6 months or 1 year from now , things are going to change dramatically in the models front and assume all these models will be commodotised across IDE vendors, in such a case, what will the value prop to stick to windsurf?
2.$10 to pay for their premium as said by a cofounder to cover their cost or making only a smaller margin is not a good business answer given that they are targeting the mass market in millions with substantial investments. Sharpen your value prop. guys.
3. One of the co-founder is so ingrained in distributed computing.(observe the frequency of the terms -:) ). while its a good tech jargon, how does it translate in terms of customer differentiation? perhaps windsurf might use AWS spot instances scaling to optimize their computes
I bought a one year subscription . but now windsurf not work anymore. Repeated loop on himself when coding and you will loose all your credit in one day without any running code.
Really strange because it worked fine one month ago, but useless now
I am fan of windsurf. some observations:
